Leading a church is one of the most important jobs and one of the most challenging, especially after COVID-19. Pastors are concerned for the wellbeing of their church and the spiritual, physical, and emotional leaders in their communities.

NAHPA family affordability

This report highlights the financial and social challenges families—especially Hispanic families—face when raising children in the U.S. It proposes practical solutions like paid leave, monthly family benefits, better childcare access, and stronger community support to make family life more affordable and connected.

The American Dream Immigration Reform Proposal, developed by NAHPA in collaboration with national leaders and rooted in the Dignity Act, offers a comprehensive and faith-based solution to U.S. immigration reform. It addresses border security, employment verification, and asylum reform, while also creating fair and structured pathways to legalization for Dreamers, TPS holders, and long-term undocumented immigrants.

OUR EDUCATION

The NAHPA Leadership Institute is a dynamic 12-week program designed to cultivate emerging Hispanic undergraduate and graduate students across the United States through comprehensive coursework on subjects including public policy and public theology paired with a cumulative final project.

This unique program includes a trip to Washington D.C. for field experience, relevant excursions, speakers, and networking opportunities.

NAHPA has a multi-faceted approach to serving Hispanic Christian leadership through its focus areas of education, advocacy and policy, pastoral and church development, and community engagement.

  • NAHPA’s core values include educating and training Hispanic faith-based communities. NAHPA’s leading educational initiative is the NAHPA Leadership Program, a 12-week online program designed for Hispanic undergraduate and graduate students aspiring to become Hispanic Christian pastors or prominent Hispanic Christian leaders in their respective fields.

  • NAHPA’s core value is educating Hispanic Christian pastors by providing church and pastoral development trainings and opportunities through the NAHPA membership. Members receive monthly webinars on pastoral development, in-person events, a resource network for pastors, and more.

  • NAHPA’s core values empower Hispanic Christian pastors and leaders to advocate for their communities. NAHPA organizes church civic engagement trips to Washington D.C. and reaches 200+ congress members yearly, 400+ pastor participants yearly, 32+ states engaged with, and 3+ policy papers published.

  • NAHPA seeks to partner with churches, agencies, and organizations at all levels: local, state, and national. Our community engagement efforts have included programs ranging from community health, school nutrition, dignity of human life, supporting families, and promoting well-being in Hispanic communities.

  • NAHPA ISRAEL is a pro-Israel initiative designed to strengthen the connection between Hispanic Christian communities and Israel through education, advocacy, and engagement. NAHPA ISRAEL has organized trips to Israel for 300+ Hispanic college students and 300+ Hispanic pastors.
