Carlos Duran
Rev. Carlos Duran serves as President of the National Hispanic Pastors Alliance (NAHPA)—a coalition of Christian denominations, organizations, and leaders committed to strengthening the presence, voice, and influence of the Hispanic faith community. Under his leadership, NAHPA empowers communities to stand firm in their faith and equips pastors and leaders through education, training, and strategic collaboration.
With over 30 years of ministry and community engagement, Rev. Duran has partnered with numerous national and local organizations to advance shared goals of faith, leadership development, and social impact throughout the United States and Latin America.
A lifelong advocate for Israel, Rev. Duran’s support predates the founding of NAHPA. In 2024, he was named one of the Top 10 Christian Zionists by the Jerusalem Post. In 2025, he made history as the first Hispanic leader to be included in the Israel Top 50 Christian Allies list, ranking at #40. Through NAHPAIsrael, Rev. Duran has led efforts to strengthen ties between the Hispanic Christian community and Israel, bringing over 250 Hispanic college students and more than 350 pastors and leaders to the Holy Land, and has mobilize the Hispanic church in the USA to support Israel at a local and national level. These efforts have been instrumental in educating the Hispanic community on the historical and spiritual connection between Christianity and Israel, the importance of Judeo-Christian values, and the need to combat antisemitism.
In 2012, Rev. Duran was honored by the White House as a “Champion of Change” for his impactful work supporting fathers, families, and the Hispanic community nationwide.
He resides in Maryland with his wife and enjoys spending time with their five children and five grandchildren. Rev. Duran is an ordained Pastor and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
